THE CLOUD with MOBILE HOTSPOT (no WiFi Without Cables) 2024 -2026

My ongoing ‘shapeshifter’ series sees two connected sculptures ‘The Cloud’ and ‘Mobile Hotspot (no WiFi without cables)’ scale up in each new environment. Ever growing, this work responds to the online world commentating on the unseen waste generated by cloud data, transmission signals, and the ever-present power infrastructures supporting our digital lives. This modular sculpture is made from stitched stuffed bin bags, held together with pins allowing the work to morph loosely while installed. I never know how these will look and equate this installation process to drawing, intuitively following the lines as I would in a 2-dimensional drawing.
